A beauty brand that gives a damn.

We are indigo & iris

We create beautiful beauty products and donate 50% of our profits from their sale to different impact projects.

The global beauty industry is estimated to be worth over $400 billion USD annually - as consumer spending increases globally, the wealth divide of people who have financial means and those who do not, continues to widen.

We thought, ‘what if a portion of profits generated the beauty industry was directed to helping people lead better lives’?  Not just a marketing gimmick, but a genuine & tangible benefit to others.

A treat for yourself while helping others at the same time. Together, we really can make a difference.

OUR VISION & PURPOSE

indigo & iris was born in 2018 with the specific purpose of raising funds for social impact projects & organisations, without asking our customers to donate anything extra above their ordinary beauty product spend.  We strive to become synonymous with the highest quality beauty products that are vegan, cruelty-free, ethically sourced and eco conscious.

Our goal is to expand our customer base in order to increase our donations and help change the lives of more people.

By partnering with our customers to achieve our goal, we are taking a powerful global industry that already exists and re-imagining its profit margins to have a direct & measurable social impact, helping to reduce global inequalities and increase the health & wellbeing of people within our wider communities. We hope you'll join us on this journey.

PROJECTS WE SUPPORT

We asked our customers & loyal followers which social impact organisations our products should support and with their help two charities were selected: Fred Hollows Foundation NZ and Dress for Success Christchurch.

Each quarter we donate 50% of profits from the sale of our products to these organisations. The donation is not a marketing tool – it is our core purpose of being.

founded in 1992 by eye surgeon Fred Hollows.

The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ

Hollows.org - An incredible organisation that works throughout the Pacific Islands providing healthcare to visually impaired Pacific Islanders. In the Pacific Islands, four out of five people who are blind don’t need to be and a sight-restoring surgery can cost as little as $25nzd.
Our donations have enabled over 400 life-changing surgeries to restore eyesight.

Empowering women into financial independence

Dress for success

The profits of our lip collection goes directly to our regional branch of Dress for Success, a global organisation which helps empower disadvantaged women to become financially & economically independent. Their aim is to provide appropriate clothing, a network of support and career development tools, so women can thrive in work and life.

SUPPORT OUR PROJECTS

Perhaps the coolest thing you can do to support us is to buy a mascara or lipstick and spread the word! This is how we will grow to support more organisations doing awesome work and release more stunning products for you!
